Fairies frolic with the hearts of four young lovers in Thomas Haney Secondary’s Sightline Theatre’s upcoming production of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’.Â
The play by William Shakespeare tells the story of Hermia, who is in love with Lysander, and Helena, who is in love with Demetrius, and what happens when all four of them search for love in an enchanted forest of fairies.
When fairy king Oberon and his loyal fairy servant Puck interfere, love comically runs amok until true feelings are finally revealed with wedding bells in the air.Â
The show will feature the talents of students from Grades 8 to 12 who are enrolled in the theatre company class – a class which teaches students to produce a stage performance.
Students learn professional skills such as acting, stage managing, lighting and sound, marketing, set construction, set painting, costuming, and more.
