Your application package must include the following:

- Cover letter (briefly stating why you are interested in this program)
- Recent transcript of your grades
Submit the complete package to your school’s career planning assistant, work experience teacher, or counselor.
The standard program consists of the following course content:
- air nailers and staplers
- asphalt shingles
- concrete forms
- safe work practices
- roof framing
- basic power tools
- floor framing
- stair calculating and building
- concrete quantity calculating
- blueprint reading and basic estimating
- powder actuated tools, Hilti and Ramset
- door and window installation
- basic hand tools
- cedar shakes, wood and vinyl siding
- introduction to concrete
- wall framing
The minimum grade for individual courses is 64 per cent. An overall GPA of 70 per cent or better is required. All courses must be passed in order to successfully complete the program. Students who successfully complete this program will have seven complete courses for 28 credits on the secondary school graduation transcript. They will also receive the KPU certificate/citation.
